Homemade Heart Gummies
Ingredients
- ½ cup juice of choice (cherry, grape, pineapple, mango, apple etc.)
- 2 Tbsp honey
- 2 Tbsp fresh lime or lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp gelatin (I use this one from Great Lakes)
Directions
- To a small sauce pan add juice, honey and lime or lemon juice over medium-low heat
- Whisk the liquid over the heat to fully dissolve the honey. It should be warm but not boiling.
- Take the pan off the heat and gradually add the gelatin whisking as you go to completely incorporate the gelatin into the warm liquid
- Place your heart gummy molds onto a baking dish for stability (this recipe should fill 2 of these molds)
- Use the dropper that comes with the molds add the liquid to each heart
- Refrigerate the heart gummies for 1 hour then you can pop them out
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator, for up to 1 week
If you do not have heart gummy molds, you can use another mold, or…
4. Pour the warm liquid into a glass baking dish and refrigerate for 1 hour
5. Cut them into little squares or use little cooking cutters for shapes
6. Store the gummies in an airtight container in the refrigerator, for up to 1 week
