Who doesn’t like a good hummus, with crackers, chips, or veggies? We love hummus, but like many people we tire of the same old thing. So we decided to spice things up a bit by making a wonderful new hummus with organic black beans, mixing in our Purple Hot & Spicy kraut to bring a whole new layer of flavor to the idea of hummus. We get really great feedback from everyone we share this with, so we expect you will, too!
Black Bean Hummus
- 1 can black beans
- ¼ – ½ cup Purple Hot & Spicy kraut
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 2 Tbsp tahini
- 2 Tbsp lime or lemon juice
- ½ tsp cumin
- ¼ tsp salt
- Blend all ingredients in a food processor until combined.
- Serve with chips, crackers or veggies. Or spread on a wrap as a bed for other ingredients.
